Grants

The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) has a responsibility for distributing approximately $20 Million in state and federal funds each year. Public and private sector organizations that address one or more of the issues identified by GOYFF can apply for these funds. Grants are then awarded through a formal application process called a Request for Grant Application.

AmeriCorps State Grant Program

AmeriCorps is a federally funded network of national service programs working to strengthen communities in each state. The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) has a responsibility for distributing approximately $20 Million in state and federal funds for AmeriCorps programming each year. Public and private sector organizations that address one or more of the issues identified by GOYFF can apply for these funds. Grants are then awarded through a formal application process called a Request for Grant Application.  In Arizona, programs that receive this funding address critical community needs like preventing opioid misuse, reducing the trauma of domestic violence, easing the strain of prisoner re-entry, increasing academic achievement, decreasing homelessness, sustaining national trails and parks, assisting seniors to stay independent, and providing mentoring to Arizona youth in the areas of literacy, continuing education and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM Programs).  Over 1,200 individuals become AmeriCorps members in the state of Arizona each year.  Members receive a small living stipend and an education award for their term of service.

Volunteer Generation Fund Grant Program

The Arizona Governor's Commission on Service and Volunteerism is funded through the Volunteer Generation Fund (CNCS) to expand the Arizona Service Enterprise Initiative. In partnership with Points of Light, the Commission engages community organizations to serve as Service Enterprise Initiative hub partners to deliver the Service Enterprise training and certification program across the state. In the first year, the Commission has partnered with four community organizations to deliver the SEI training and certification program to approximately 70 local organizations.

Grant Solicitation Notices

The Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) uses the Arizona State Procurement Office’s ProcureAZ eProcurement system when issuing “Letters of Intent to Issue a Solicitation” for Request for Grant Applications (RFGAs).  If interested in receiving an e-mail notification from the ProcureAZ system, it is the sole responsibility of a potential applicant to register in the ProcureAZ system.  Applicants should choose the Human Services Commodity Code 952 and select at least two subcategories of service that are the most representative of your organization’s activities.  The ProcureAZ notices about GOYFF’s RFGAs are sent to all the categories under 952.

To access ProcureAZ for information and help regarding registration, please visit https://procure.az.gov/bso/. The GOYFF does not maintain or service the ProcureAZ system.
Applicants may also check this website periodically to view any posted solicitations for funding opportunities.
